Enter progress within your current level
Open the experience planner and set your current level, target level and experience earned within the current level. The last value is not your character's lifetime experience total. It is progress toward completing the level you are currently on.
The planner adds the requirements for each level before the target, then subtracts the progress already earned in your current level. Reaching level 3 from level 1 therefore includes the level 1 and level 2 requirements; it does not also charge the XP needed to leave level 3.
Check a small calculation first
The level 1 to 3 example requires 588 XP: 118 to complete level 1 and another 470 to complete level 2. Starting with 50 XP already earned in level 1 reduces the remaining amount to 538.
Enter 118 as progress within level 1 to see the corrective state. That amount already completes the level, so update the current level rather than accepting a misleading remaining-time estimate. Correcting the value brings the calculation back without requiring a fresh plan.
A target that is already reached has zero remaining XP. Check your server's current level cap before choosing a long-term goal.
Review rewards from your selected quests
Open the quest planner and use Add to plan for quests you want on this trip. Return through its Experience link to keep the selection and character target. The quest reward preview lists base EXP separately from the remaining level requirement and time estimate.
The listed subtotal includes selected quests without level scaling. Scaled rewards remain attached to their quest, and unlisted rewards stay explicit; check the in-game reward preview for final amounts. Use Remove in the quest planner when a quest no longer belongs in your trip, and update your current level and experience after receiving its reward.
Estimate time using your own observed rate
Enter Your observed XP per hour only after measuring a relevant session in the game. At 294 XP per hour, the 588-XP example takes two hours. At 588 XP per hour it takes one hour. This estimate assumes the same pace continues; it is not a published rate for a particular monster or build.
Equipment, skills, party activity and server conditions can change that rate. The hunting finder can help select and compare targets, but their level and HP do not supply a reliable hourly rate. Leave the field blank when you do not yet have a useful measurement. Zero must not be interpreted as instantaneous completion.
Keep character progression separate from skill spending
The XP calculation describes movement between character levels. The mastery planner calculates skill-point spending from actual skill ranks and prerequisites. These are different resources and should not be substituted for one another.
Share the experience-plan link when comparing a target with another player. It keeps the entered progress, rate and selected quests. If your plan is not kept between visits, reopen that link to restore your choices.
